How to connect
You connect OpenAI Codex from inside Roiva, so you need a Roiva workspace first. Sign in to connect it now. New to Roiva? Take the free assessment and create your workspace at the end, or request an invite.
- In ChatGPT: Sign in to your ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu workspace as an owner or admin — Codex analytics are not available on Team or individual plans
- In ChatGPT: Open the Admin Console → API keys and create an admin key (starts with sk-admin-) with Codex analytics permission (codex.enterprise.analytics)
- In ChatGPT: Copy your Workspace ID from the Admin Console — it is a UUID, and it appears in the console's URL
- Back in Roiva: Paste the Workspace ID and the admin key here and save the connection
- Back in Roiva: The connection page checks each step and says what's missing. Once it's all ticked, click Test Connection, then link this connection to an initiative on the Initiatives tab
Tips for capturing value
- This is a different key from the Admin key the OpenAI connection uses. That one reads an API organization's usage and cost at platform.openai.com; this one reads a ChatGPT workspace's Codex analytics. Connect both if you have both
- Roiva asks OpenAI for workspace-wide totals rather than per-developer rows, so no developer's identity ever reaches Roiva. Codex therefore reports no active-user count here
- Codex reports the lines of code developers kept, not a count of accepted suggestions. The library's coding-assistant initiative values a Codex rollout by lines and a Copilot or Claude Code rollout by acceptances, whichever the connected assistant reports
- Analytics cover the last 90 days, so connect before an initiative starts if you want its baseline measured rather than estimated
