Connecting your first integration

Integrations bring in what your tools already know, so costs, readings and value don't have to be typed in. Here's how to connect one.

Connecting

1. Open Integrations in the sidebar. On the Connections tab, Connected lists what you've connected, and Available below it lists every platform you haven't connected yet. A platform marked Not available yet can't be connected yet.
2. Pick a platform to open its page, which lists the data it captures, then choose Connect (for example Connect HubSpot). To connect a second account of a platform you've already connected, open its page from the connection's Platform tab and choose Add Another Connection.
3. Follow the form. How you connect depends on the platform, and the form's Setup Guide walks through each step:
   • Sign in and approve — HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Intercom, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, Xero, Brex, Ramp and Jira send you to the platform to approve Roiva's access.
   • Paste a key — Zendesk, Freshdesk, Stripe, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Looker, Make, n8n and others take an API key or credentials you create in that platform. NetSuite takes token-based authentication details.
   • Install the GitHub App — GitHub.
   • Grant a service account — Google Cloud and BigQuery: Roiva creates a service account, and you grant it the roles the guide lists. Nothing syncs until you do.
   • Zapier — Roiva gives you a private URL for your Zaps to send data to. It's shown once, so copy it before you leave the page; an admin can replace it if it's lost.
4. Roiva runs a first sync straight away, except for GitHub, whose first sync is the nightly one, and Google Cloud and BigQuery, which can't read anything until you've granted the roles. After that, connections sync nightly at 2:00 AM UTC, and Sync Now on the connection runs one immediately. Zapier records each run as your Zap sends it, and Slack only posts notifications, so neither has a sync to run.

Only Owners and Admins can connect integrations. The Free plan holds 1 connection and Growth 15.

Test Connection, in the connection's … menu, runs the connection's Setup Check and tells you the first thing left to fix.

What comes in

Each platform's page lists exactly what it captures. For example:

• HubSpot — won and lost deals, won value, win rate and sales cycle; new contacts, MQLs and SQLs; tickets; marketing
• Salesforce — opportunities (won deals, value, cycle time) and cases
• GitHub — merged pull requests and cycle time, Copilot usage, and GitHub billing
• Jira — resolved issues, cycle time and story points
• AWS, Google Cloud, OpenAI, Anthropic — spend: AWS by service, Google Cloud by budget, and OpenAI and Anthropic with token usage by model

Readings become metric entries for your value formulas. Bills and synced value become cost and value entries once the connection is linked to an initiative.

Linking it to an initiative

A connection's data is account-wide until you link the connection to an initiative, which tells Roiva whose costs or value it counts toward. Integrations → Unlinked lists every connection that isn't counting toward anything yet, with what each one needs. See Linking connections to initiatives for how links work.
